Undergraduate Students
Liberty University is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC), which means we are authorized to issue SOCAD, SOCMAR, SOCNAV, and SOCCOAST degree plans for service members and their spouses. The SOC agreement was created by the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges Organization based out of Washington, D.C. to allow service members to transfer from institution to institution with greater ease. All institutions that participate in the SOC program have certain courses that are guaranteed to transfer to other SOC affiliated institutions. SOC agreements are only available to students seeking undergraduate degrees.
Once you have received a military evaluation and have been fully accepted into a degree program, a SOC agreement will be issued to you. This degree plan will indicate all military and civilian credit utilized toward your degree and the remaining requirements needed to complete the degree program. Until the official SOC is issued to you, the following unofficial degree plans may be viewed to give you an idea of requirements:

(1)The Multidisciplinary Studies (MLDS) degree program consists of several areas of study. Each area is referred to as a cognate. Hours listed in each cognate may vary depending on the areas of study you choose and your transferred college credit. At least two cognates are required for the major (up to three may be chosen). You may choose from the following areas of study: accounting, business, criminal justice, education, management information systems, psychology, and religion.
